Hills repeat… NOT!! No hills in my neighborhood, so focused this time on the increase in length and time. This was more of another base run, which was good because I wanted to get a feel for what I could get accomplished in one hour. The plan called for 5 miles in l:07. I did 4.48 mil in 1 hr, and this was only because I needed to drive Sophia to work early this morning. The run itself felt really good (4:1 run:walk). I can feel my form definitely improving! I found a great Fun Run playlist on Spotify too! My old pace was 6 mil in the same time… I’ll get back there. Same routine this morning before leaving except no meditation time today. I made a commitment the night before to sleep early to ensure my 7 hours and it worked. I was out for my run by 6 a.m. and felt great! Today was also the day I was getting my shoes!!! I eventually made it to Luke’s Locker and left very satisfied. My new shoes are the lighter Ascis Gel Us Trainers. I can honestly say I’m in love and can’t wait to run my 7 miles on Sunday!! I’ll eventually want to purchase another pair of Vibrams 5 fingers and get back to barefoot running, but I want to drop another 20 before I attempt it. Power beat for today was Apeshit by The Carters. It’s amazing how my new found happiness has dictated my taste in music. I’m actually dancing in my car now!! It’s the little things…
